In celebration of MTA Arts & Design’s 40th Anniversary, join Arts & Design Manager Heather Reyes-Duke for part two of the curated “Art Everywhere for Everyone” tour of three glass projects on the J/Z line.

The tour will begin at 85th St-Forest Parkway in Queens and conclude at Cypress Hills in Brooklyn. Making three stops along the way, attendees will see incredible permanent artworks commissioned by leading contemporary artists. Participants will hear firsthand about commissioning and installing site-specific artwork created for the variety of communities that make up New York City in the unique environment of the subway system. Artists Heejung Cho (85 St-Forest Parkway), Angie Drakopoulos (75th St-Elderts Lane), and Tatiana Arocha (Cypress Hills) will join the group and discuss their work at each station. Bring your own MetroCard or OMNY card. Extra swipes will not be needed as the group moves from station to station.

Tour will involve climbing stairs and walking on aboveground train platforms. Please bring a MetroCard or OMNY for access to the stations. Extra swipes will not be needed as the group travels from station to station.

Children 12+ welcome. Every person attending, including children, requires a ticket.
