UrbanGlass, a nonprofit established in 1977, fosters experimentation and advances the use and critical understanding of glass as a creative medium. The facility houses studios where New Yorkers can learn techniques for glassblowing, neon, kiln-formed glass, stained glass, and more! Visitors can enjoy the artwork in the on-site store and gallery as well, which highlight innovative glass art and design.
Saturday Tours: Ongoing, every 30 minutes. Access is limited to ten people at a time, first-come, first-served.
Closed-toe shoes are required in the studio. Visitors must wear provided safety glasses in the studio unless they wear prescription glasses.
Children are welcome accompanied by an adult.
