Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) is an urban oasis where people, plants, and cultures are celebrated through inspiring gardens, innovative educational programs, and real-world applications of environmental stewardship.
The Garden was created as part of the 1939 New York World's Fair and was originally located in nearby Flushing Meadows–Corona Park. It moved to its current location, a landfilled area east of Flushing Meadows Park, in 1963 in preparation for the 1964 New York World's Fair.
Sunday Tour: 9:30 am
Public Programs Coordinator Aux Girbach will be on site to give an hour-long garden sustainability tour for up to 20 people, first-come, first-served.
The majority of pathways at Queens Botanical Garden are wheelchair accessible and the Garden’s topography is largely flat. The Visitor & Administration Building is wheelchair accessible. No pets permitted, service animals only.
