Come celebrate OHNY Weekend at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, the proud steward of 28 historical buildings dating from 1833. Snug Harbor is ne of the largest adaptive reuse sites in the country, including the finest collection of original Greek Revival buildings. Six structures were included in the first 40 landmark designations in the United States, issued by the New York City Landmark Preservation Commission. The campus is now a National Historic District.

Come learn the stories behind Sailors’ Snug Harbor’s construction and the people responsible for its design, and explore the architecture that put this bucolic campus on the map of irreplaceable architectural collections. Tour participants will also learn about the master plan for Snug Harbor's future.

This tour takes place largely outdoors and will cover about half a mile. Participants should dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.

Only some of the buildings are wheelchair accessible. Some buildings have stairs and narrow hallways, and much of the walk covers uneven terrain.
