Step inside Printemps' 'French Apartment'in New York, with the most enchanting spaces during OHNY Weekend. The 30-minute guided experience begins in The Playroom with Printemps' Client Experience team, who will lead visitors through the stunning floors of Printemps New York—where Parisian heritage meets modern luxury. Along the way, visitors will glimpse curated fashion, design, and art, while learning about the building’s transformation into a destination for style and culture.

The journey culminates in The Red Room, an iconic landmark space within the store. Here, in collaboration with The International Hildreth Meière Association, the tour will delve into the history and architectural significance of this extraordinary room. Created in 1931 by architect Ralph Walker—hailed as the “architect of the century”—and muralist Hildreth Meière, one of America’s most accomplished Art Deco artists, the Red Room is unlike any other space in the world. Its faceted walls and soaring ceiling are clad in Meière’s shimmering mosaics, shifting from oxblood red to fiery orange, intertwined with veins of gold. Recently recognized as a New York City Interior Landmark, the Red Room remains one of the most breathtaking Art Deco interiors in Manhattan.

Visitors will leave with a deeper understanding of Printemps’ role as both a cultural touchstone and a retail innovator—plus a rare, insider’s view of a space usually reserved for private moments and special guests.
