After eight decades on the Upper East Side, the National Academy of Design opened a new exhibition space in the heart of Chelsea in September 2023. Designed by Bade Stageberg Cox, the 7,800-sq. ft. space hosts changing exhibitions of contemporary art and architecture and is a hub for the Academy’s community of Academicians, a group of 500 leading artists and architects. Visit during OHNY Weekend to take a curator's tour of the Academy's newest exhibition "Whose America?" or a design tour with Bade Stageberg Cox.
Saturday Curator Tours: 12 and 1 pm
Natalia Viera Salgado, Associate Curator at the Academy, will lead tours of the exhibition.
Saturday Architecture Tours: 2, 2:30, 3, and 3:30 pm
Jane Stageberg, AIA LEED AP, Co-Founder of Bade Stageberg Cox will lead tours of the gallery and the Academy's offices.
