In celebration of MTA Arts & Design 40th Anniversary celebration, join Arts & Design Senior Manager Lydia Bradshaw for part three of our curated “Art Everywhere for Everyone” tour of metal, glass, and mosaic projects on the 6 line.
The tour will visit three to four stops along the way at Parkchester, St. Lawrence, Morrison Ave-Soundview and ending at E 149 St. Participants will hear firsthand about commissioning and installing site-specific artwork created for the variety of communities that make up New York City in the unique environment of the subway system. Artist Glenn Goldberg will meet the group and discuss her stunning new artwork at the E 149 St station. Bring your own MetroCard or OMNY card.
This tour will involve climbing stairs and walking. Please bring a MetroCard or OMNY for access to the stations. Extra swipes will not be needed as the group travels from station to station.
All visitors must be 18+
