"The Architecture of Us: Remembering to Be Human" is a living installation by OXUM NYC founder Niovi Forbes. Set inside a historic industrial building on the Williamsburg waterfront at 110 Kent Avenue, the space becomes a lived-in home that explores architecture as emotional infrastructure. Through spatial rhythm, material layering, and human-scale design, the project reimagines how domestic space can support presence, connection, and cultural continuity. At its heart is the kitchen and dining table—not just functional, but a symbolic ground for ritual, memory, and belonging. Step inside, take a seat, and be part of an experience that asks you to reflect, feel, and imagine the kind of future you want to live in.
