Tactile Transmissions is a free 90-minute Access Program geared toward visitors who are blind or partially sighted. This program focuses on Chaim Gross's work and art collections utilizing verbal description and touch. Educators lead participants in creative activities using a variety of techniques and materials.

Tactile Transmissions is offered in a small group setting. Participants engage closely with the home and studio of the Grosses. This unique environment allows for supervised handling of sculpture, tools, and works in progress.

The Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in New York State in 1989. The Foundation’s mission is to further the legacy of Chaim Gross through high-quality research, exhibitions, and educational activities around the historic building and art collections for audiences in New York City and beyond.

This program is geared toward visitors who are blind or partially sighted.

The home and galleries are accessible by elevator. Access to the studio space is by stairs only.

Large bags must be left at the entrance. Backpacks cannot be worn on the back while on-site.

No open containers of food or drink permitted.

No pets permitted; service animals only.

Participants 16+ are welcome. Every person attending, including children, requires a ticket.
