The Tzu Chi Center for Compassionate Relief honors the history of global missions of humanitarianism and its trajectory into the 21st century. The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation has also played a major role in emergency response and relief work for minority groups in New York City for the past 35 years. Nestled in Midtown East Manhattan, the Center is a welcoming space where visitors can learn about the impact of the Foundation both locally and globally through thematic exhibitions, reflect and connect with themselves and others through tea ceremonies and flower arrangement, and get inspired to participate in volunteer events in the future to help others in need.
