Visitors can view the interior of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch, an American Civil War memorial in Grand Army Plaza. Rangers will lead tours of the monument, which has undergone significant preservation including recent restoration work by the Prospect Park Alliance. Visitors can ascend three flights of stairs to view the "Trophy Room" located in the space above the archway. Tours will discuss the history of the arch, the Brooklyn regiments commemorated there who served during the Civil War, and the ongoing effort to preserve the memorial for future generations.

Please note that the tours will not include access to the outdoor roof terrace of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch.

The plaza itself is wheelchair accessible, but access to the interior of the arch and Trophy Room is only by stairs.

Accessible restrooms are available at the Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch, located nearby.

Children are welcome, accompanied by an adult. All persons attending, including children, must have a ticket.
