In celebration of MTA Arts & Design’s 40th Anniversary, join Arts & Design Manager Bridget Donlon for part one of the curated “Art Everywhere for Everyone” tour of mosaic projects on the L line.
The tour will begin at Grand Street station in Brooklyn and conclude at 14th Street/7th Avenue in Manhattan. Making stops along the way, attendees will see incredible permanent artworks commissioned by leading contemporary artists. Participants will hear firsthand about commissioning and installing site-specific artwork created for the variety of communities that make up New York City in the unique environment of the subway system. Bring your own MetroCard or OMNY card. Extra swipes will not be needed as the group moves from station to station.
Tour will involve climbing stairs and walking, though elevators are available at each station on the tour. Please bring a MetroCard or OMNY for access to the stations. Extra swipes will not be needed as the group travels from station to station.
Participants must be 18+
