Located in the Melrose neighborhood of The Bronx, the new 40th Precinct Police Station is redefining the role of a police station. As the first NYPD facility with a multi-purpose community room and green roof, it sets a new model for civic responsibility, accessibility, and environmental sustainability.

Current Open Council members are invited to join Open House New York, architect Aran Coakley of Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), and New York City Department of Design and Construction Commissioner Tom Foley, for an inside look at the project design to learn how this new facility will serve both the NYPD and the surrounding community.
