December 11th, 2024
6:00PM - 7:00PM
UPDATE (12/9/24): This event has been cancelled due to weather.
Andrew Haswell Green Park, located on the East River in midtown Manhattan, is an important link in the ongoing Manhattan Waterfront Greenway project that will create a continuous 32.5-mile trail around the island. Completed earlier this year, the park was built over a former heliport and provides new waterfront access for pedestrians and bicyclists, along with stunning views of the Queensboro Bridge and Alice Aycock’s monumental sculpture, East River Roundabout.
Representatives from NYC Parks will discuss the park’s construction and its lighting plan, designed in-house to highlight the park’s unique artworks and create a safe and beautiful recreation space in all seasons.
AIA CES credit (1 LU | HSW) is available for this program.
